How to turn on DKIM email authentication for your domain

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) adds a digital signature to the emails you send, so receiving mail servers can check they genuinely came from your domain. It helps your emails land in inboxes rather than spam folders, and makes it harder for others to send fake emails pretending to be you.

We recommend switching DKIM on for every domain you send email from.

First, log in to your Enhance panel – see how to login to Enhance Panel.

Switch on DKIM

  1. Select Websites in the left side bar, then select the website you want to manage.
  2. Select Domains in the menu along the top, then select your domain.
  3. Under Email authentication, switch DKIM on.

Once everything is in place, DKIM shows as VALIDATED.

If it doesn’t show as validated

  • If your domain uses our Enhance nameservers, the DNS record DKIM needs is added for you automatically. It should validate once DNS has updated, which can take a little while.
  • If your domain’s DNS is managed somewhere else, such as our free DNS, Cloudflare or another company, the DKIM record needs adding there. When you switch DKIM on, your panel shows you the record to add – copy it into your DNS provider’s settings. See how to update your domain’s DNS records. If you get stuck, contact our support team.

Only switch on DKIM here if you send email through your PAC hosting. If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for email, set up DKIM with them instead – see how to use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email with your hosting.
