How to point your domain at your new hosting

For visitors to see your website, and for email to reach your new mailboxes, your domain needs to point at your PAC hosting.

If your domain is registered with PAC

If you registered or transferred your domain with us at the same time as your hosting, it’s already set up to use our hosting nameservers, so there’s usually nothing more to do.

If your domain was already with us before you ordered hosting, check its nameservers are the ones below – see how to update your domain’s nameservers.

If your domain is registered somewhere else

Log in to wherever your domain is registered and change its nameservers to ours:

  • earth.pacwebhosting.uk
  • moon.pacwebhosting.uk
  • sun.pacwebhosting.uk
  • mars.pacwebhosting.uk

See how to update your domain’s nameservers for step-by-step help.

Moving from another host? Don’t change your nameservers until your website and email have been moved, or they may stop working. If we’re doing your free migration, we’ll tell you when it’s time, or do it for you.

If your email is with another provider, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, changing nameservers means your email records need to be set up at PAC first – see how to use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email with your hosting, or ask us to help.

How long does it take?

Changes to nameservers can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 24–48 hours to reach everyone. Once your domain is pointing at us, your free SSL certificate is issued automatically – see how SSL certificates work on your website.

Want to keep your nameservers?

If you’d rather keep your nameservers where they are, you can point your domain using DNS records instead – see how to update your domain’s DNS records. Your hosting’s IP addresses are in your Enhance panel – see where do I find my hosting IPs.
