A few minutes now can save a lot of trouble later. These steps protect your account, website and email.
1. Change the password from your welcome email
Your welcome email contained a password for your Enhance panel. Because it was sent by email, change it to a new, strong password of your own – see how to reset your Enhance login password.
2. Turn on two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code from an app on your phone as well as your password, so a stolen password isn’t enough to get in. Turn it on for both of your logins:
- Enhance panel – see how to enable 2FA for your login.
- Client area – log in, open the menu under your name at the top right, select Security Settings, and follow the steps under Two-Factor Authentication.
You’ll need an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or your password manager. Keep any backup codes you’re given somewhere safe, in case you lose your phone.
3. Use strong, unique passwords
Use a different password for your client area, your Enhance panel, each email address and your website’s admin area. A password manager makes this easy.
4. Give people their own login
Never share your password with your web designer, accountant or colleagues. Give them their own access instead, which you can remove at any time:
5. Keep your contact details up to date
Make sure the email address and phone number on your client area account are current. That’s how we reach you about renewals, security alerts and anything urgent.
