How to change your client area password and turn on 2FA

Protect your client area. It holds your billing details and controls all your services, so it’s worth a few minutes to secure it with a strong password and two-factor authentication.

First, log in to your client area – see how do I log in to my PAC client area.

Change your password

  1. Open the menu under your name at the top right and select Change Password.
  2. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
  3. Save your changes.

Use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else. A password manager makes this easy. Forgotten your password? Use Forgot password on the login page – see how do I log in to my PAC client area.

Turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code from an app on your phone as well as your password, so a stolen password isn’t enough to get into your account.

  1. Open the menu under your name at the top right and select Security Settings.
  2. Under Two-Factor Authentication, select Click Here to Enable.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or your password manager.
  4. Enter the code from the app to finish.

Keep your backup code safe. When you turn on 2FA you’ll be given a backup code. If you lose your phone, you can use it to log in. Store it somewhere safe, such as your password manager – not just on your phone.

Set a security question

On the same Security Settings page, you can choose a security question and answer. We may use it to confirm who you are if you contact us. Choose an answer that other people couldn’t easily find out.

Protect your other logins too

Your Enhance control panel has its own login and its own 2FA – see how to secure your PAC accounts in 5 minutes.
