How to install OpenClaw

OpenClaw is an open-source personal AI assistant. It connects an AI model of your choice, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, to the apps you use, and you manage it from a web dashboard. You can install it on your hosting in a few clicks.

OpenClaw is marked as BETA in your panel. It’s new, so you may find the odd rough edge. It’s designed for people who are comfortable setting up and experimenting with AI tools.

Before you start

  • Use a website or subdomain set aside just for OpenClaw. OpenClaw runs as a Node.js application at your website’s main address, so it can’t share a website with WordPress or another site. See adding a new website or adding a new subdomain.
  • Your hosting plan needs to include Node.js. If OpenClaw isn’t offered when you install an app, speak to our sales team about a plan that includes it.
  • Get an API key from an AI provider, such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google (Gemini), xAI or OpenRouter. You’ll add it after installing. Your AI provider charges you directly for what you use.

First, log in to your Enhance panel – see how to login to Enhance Panel.

Install OpenClaw

  1. Select Websites in the left side bar, then select the website you want to install on.
  2. Select Apps in the menu along the top.
  3. Select Install app.
  1. Under Application, choose OpenClaw.
  2. Select Install.

There are no other details to fill in. You’ll see a message while Enhance configures a container for OpenClaw. This can take a minute or two.

Where to find it

Once installed, OpenClaw appears in the Applications box on your website’s home page, and on the Apps page, with two buttons:

  • Toolkit – your settings: gateway token, devices and AI provider keys
  • Dashboard – opens OpenClaw itself in your browser

Next step

Before you can use OpenClaw, you need to add your AI provider key and approve your device. See how to set up and manage OpenClaw.

We look after the hosting OpenClaw runs on, but OpenClaw itself and the AI services it connects to are made by other companies, so we can’t support how they work.
