The File Manager lets you work with your website’s files directly in your browser – no FTP program needed.
Open the File Manager
- Select Websites in the left side bar, then select the website you want to manage.
- Select Files in the menu along the top.
Finding your way around
- The folder tree on the left shows your folders. Select the + next to a folder to expand it.
- The main area lists the files and folders in the folder you’re in, with their permissions, size and when they were last modified.
- public_html (marked with a globe icon) holds your website’s files. This is what visitors see.
- Folders starting with a dot, such as .ssh or .config, are used by the system. Leave these alone unless you know what you’re doing.
Upload files
Open the folder you want – usually public_html or a folder inside it – then select Upload and choose the files from your computer.
Create a file or folder
Open the folder you want, then select New.
Work with a file or folder
Use the menu (⋮) at the end of a file or folder’s line to see the actions available for it. To work with several items at once, tick them first, or use Select all.
