Why we started looking
Over the past five years or so, we’ve watched cPanel become increasingly bloated. Its “all-in-one server” approach, and a steady stream of features that only a small minority of customers need, have taken their toll on performance. It no longer feels as fast or as streamlined as it once did.
cPanel has also put more and more focus on selling directly to customers from within the panel, and its licence prices have gone up each year far faster than inflation. All of this led us to look for a better, more sustainable alternative.
Why we chose Enhance
We tested several control panels. The one that stood out was Enhance.
What caught our attention was how much faster it was – not just the control panel, but websites, webmail and tools like phpMyAdmin too. It wasn’t a small difference: it was very noticeably quicker.
In our view, that’s largely because of how it’s built. The control panel, websites, databases and email each run on their own servers, rather than everything competing for the same server as with cPanel. On top of that, it has a clean, clear interface that’s easy to find your way around.
What customers think
Customers who’ve moved have given us very positive feedback about the speed, how easy it is to use, and features like cloning a website to a staging copy and back to live in a few clicks.
What happens now?
- New customers are set up on Enhance automatically.
- Existing customers will be contacted when it’s their turn to move. We handle the move for you and let you know if you need to do anything.
